Washington Times-Food RSS Feed
Food is one thing every living organism has in common. We all have to eat food to survive whether we like it or not. When I saw the Food RSS Feed in the Washington Times, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Would I find recipes, new restaurants, or just interesting stories? It turns out that I found each of these three things in the feed. In the article Finding a cake up to tea, the author gives the recipe for a royal almond torte and chocolate butter-cream frosting. I’m getting hungry already. Now if you’re a chocolate lover, this next article is the one you should be reading. New heaven for chocoholics introduces a new restaurant called Co Co. Sala where the food of focus is chocolate! Now my taste buds are really watering. Personally, I thought the article Science supersizes crops was pretty interesting. It discussed how scientist are experimentally making crops that are more resistant to weed and insect killers. Recently I saw a greenhouse in Disney World that was conducting experiments very similar to the ones in the article. They had giant lemons and tomato trees growing. It was really cool to see those and the many other scientifically altered plants.
